“Designated jobsharing nerd”

Svenja Christen is Co-CEO of th start-up “the jobsharing hub”, a specialized consultancy dedicated to the topic of the new working model jobsharing a.k.a shared leadership or co-leadership. Originally educated in the scientific field of work & organizational psychology (Maastricht University), she worked in strategic Human Ressources at Coca-Cola European Partners for seven years. Along that way, she worked two of those years as the senior part of a junior-senior jobsharing “tandem” herself . In 2017, she founded “the jobsharing hub” together with Yannic Franken and kick-started jobsharing in more than 20 organisations ever since, most of them DAX-30 companies. In cooperation with the Wissenschaftszentrum für Sozialforschung Berlin, she published the most substantial research on jobsharing to date. By giving jobsharing a scientific basis, she opposed critics and further promoted the implementation of it in different kind of organisations. Currently she is doing research about the performance of jobsharers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
