Dr. Eric A. Jensen

Dr. Eric A. Jensen is a social scientist with a global reputation in impact evaluation and public engagement with science. He is currently a senior researcher at ICoRSA (icorsa.org) working on EU-funded projects about responsible research and innovation (RRI) within Europe and globally, including RRING (rring.eu) and GRRIP (grrip.eu). Jensen has been working in RRI and science engagement research and practice since 2001, beginning with a National Science Foundation-funded project on International Ethics and Equity Issues Relating to Biotechnology. Jensen has delivered hundreds of training workshops on evaluation methods and evidence-based science communication, as well as leading and consulting on projects large and small on public engagement with research, impact evaluation, RRI and environmental communication. His education is in communication, psychology and sociology (PhD in sociology, University of Cambridge). Jensen’s latest book is Science Communication: An Introduction.
